Reaching goals through family counseling and teen therapy.

THE NECCO EXPERIENCE

Studies increasingly show that taking care of your mental and emotional health is as important as taking care of your physical health. Deciding to see a counselor for mental health concerns is no different than seeing a doctor for physical ailments. Mental health issues are challenging to navigate but not impossible to treat. Counseling plays a significant role in overcoming obstacles and developing the necessary skills to get your family through life's struggles.

Some of the most common mental health issues of teenagers include:

  • Feelings of isolation
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Loss of interest in activities
  • Excessive crying
  • A dramatic change in appetite
  • Panic attacks
  • Excessive worry
  • Illegal activities (theft, fighting, running away)
  • Sexually acting out
  • Illegal drug use
  • Self-harming behaviors
  • Increased aggression

COULD YOUR TEENAGER BENEFIT FROM COUNSELING?

Parenting a teenager can be overwhelming. You probably have many questions, such as: How do I know the difference between typical adolescent development and behaviors that should cause concern? What does the counseling process look like? Are appointments available that fit my family's schedule and lifestyle? Does my insurance cover counseling?

Relax and lean on Necco for the answers! We are the same professionals who have been serving your community for years, and we are here to help. Families in crisis deserve the highest level of customer service and support. We ensure our clients have a seamless and worry-free experience throughout the entire process!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Every family situation is different, therefore treatment plans vary. We will walk you through each step of the process beforehand. The first appointment consists of a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, which will help us determine the frequency of appointments and make treatment recommendations. The two biggest keys to success are 1. that your teen feels comfortable with his/her counselor, and 2. that you and your teen are committed to the treatment goals and consistent attendance.

If your child has Medicaid, he/she can access the following services:

  • Targeted Case Management
  • Teen Counseling

  • Licensed therapist on staff, skilled in a variety of evidence-based practices
  • Secure, confidential office or community setting
