What does it take to be a foster parent?
Our parents don’t have special powers or wear capes. They pack lunches, drive to soccer practice and give small, consistent acts of kindness and love. That’s it. But to be honest, we still think they’re super. Our kids think so too.

Necco is a close-knit, social organization that takes pride in building families. We work hard to find the ideal match for both parent and child in order to limit moves and additional trauma that foster children often experience.
Is Fostering Right for You?
You don't have to be perfect to become a foster parent, but there are a few basic requirements to help ensure every child has a safe and stable home:
Be 21 years of age or older.
Have sufficient income to meet the basic needs of a child.
Be able to provide a safe and stable environment free of physical, emotional or mental conditions that could endanger the child
Have no disqualifying criminal offenses.
While many people can become foster parents, there are a few circumstances that may affect eligibility. Here are some of the most common:
Disqualifying criminal offenses
Insufficient income or space to meet a child's needs
No valid driver's license
No reliable transportation
