Who is Beau Necco?
Growing up in Appalachia, Beau learned how to create something out of nothing. It was great training for learning how to get past “no.” His first office in Huntington, WV was a mere $100 a month including utilities. 20 years later, Necco employs over 750 people and contracts with nearly 2,000 foster parents in 36 locations, in four states.
Beau Necco’s family has been building families for over 45 years.
Beau has always been a bold, yet calculated risk taker, a trait that manifested itself during his childhood. The son of a university professor father who taught child behavior disorders and a mother who ran HeadStart programs in the hollers of West Virginia, social justice was a constant dinner table theme.
For years, Beau watched his parents struggle to help others amid bureaucratic waste and "success" metrics that did not take into account the wellbeing of the children in the system. Those early impressions were to manifest themselves years later.
As a Social Entrepreneur, he holds an MBA from The Thunderbird School of Global Management as well as a BA in Philosophy with a capstone certification in International Business Administration from the Ohio State University.
Necco has grown in size and recognition under Beau's guidance.
