Dr. Edward Necco, Ed. D

Necco

Ed Necco, Ed.D. is a Founding Partner at Necco. He has over 50 years of experience working with troubled children and youth. Dr. Ed received his doctorate in education-focusing on special education, at the University of Virginia in 1970. He also has a Master of Science and  Bachelor of Science degrees from Indiana University. Dr. Necco is certified in Elementary Education, Behavioral Disorders and Mental Retardation. He has worked as a consultant for the state of West Virginia, various residential treatmental centers, programs for Autistic children as well as many public school systems. Dr. Necco recently retired from Marshall University in Huntington, WV where he coordinated the program in Behavioral Disorders. Dr. Ed has held memberships in a number of respected organizations such as the Council for Exceptional Children,and its Divisions in Behavioral Disorders and Teacher Education. Dr. Necco has been married for 51 years to Dorothy Necco. They have two children, twins, Beau Necco and Wendy Goodenough, and four grandchildren. The family currently works together in the Necco organization and resides in southern Ohio.




Dorothy Necco
Dorothy has worked with children for over 35 years in various capacities including the public school system, special education, and private provision of care for special needs populations. She graduated in 1963 from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, with an endorsement in special education, area of behavior disorders. In 1970 Dorothy earned a master's degree in elementary education, also from Indiana University. In addition she holds certification in both mental retardation and behavior disorders.  Early in her career, Dorothy worked as an educator.  During that time she worked extensively with children as a teacher for primary grades including individualized reading instruction, supervisor for early childhood classrooms, coordinator of handicapped services for an Early Childhood program, and teacher of an early childhood behavioral disorders program.  In addition, Dorothy served as Executive Director of a Clinic for handicapped children and was a Program Director in foster care.  She co-founded of Ed Necco & Associates, Inc. where she serves on the board of directors at the present time. In addition, she provides consultation to staff on programming issues, and assists with training and development initiatives for both staff and foster parents. Dorothy is married to Dr. Ed Necco, Ed.D., and the couple resides in South Point, Ohio. The Necco's have two children, Edward D. Necco and Wendy Goodenough, and four grandchildren.


Edward "Beau" Necco

Beau Necco comes from a family that has worked with troubled youth for over forty-five years. He holds an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, AZ as well as a BA in philosophy with a Capstone certification in International Business Administration from the Ohio State University. Professionally, Beau's work in the area of foster care has gained him notable recognition in the state of Kentucky. His achievements have earned him the distinction of being Kentucky's Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000, an award bestowed on behalf of the U.S. Small Business Administration.  In 2001, Necco was recognized for its commitment to the advancement of women in the workplace by being named Company of the Year by the Cincinnati Business Courier's annual Progress Awards. In 2003 Beau was named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Most recently, Necco placed 53rd on the 2003 Inc 500 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States with a five year growth rate of 2,446%.   Most recently, the organization earned national recognition from the Council on Accreditation (COA) through its Innovative Practices award, which highlights the company’s Books for Bucks employee education program.  Beau has two daughters, and currently resides in South Point, OH. 



Wendy Necco Goodenough
Wendy is the Corporate Attorney and Chief Compliance Officer for Carvaka. She is the twin sister of Beau Necco, and daughter of founding members Dr. Ed and Dorothy Necco. In her role with Carvaka, Wendy ensures all aspects of corporate compliance including accreditation, licensure, and state and federal regulations for its partner companies. In addition, she oversees the human resources and the performance quality improvement departments for Carvaka and its subsidiaries. Wendy received her BA in Communications and International Business (Magna Cum Laude) from the Ohio State University in 1993. She went on to earn her M.A. in Political Science (Summa Cum Laude) from Marshall University in 1995. In 1998, Wendy received her JD from The Ohio State University School of Law.

As corporate attorney for Carvaka, Wendy is licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio (1998), WV (1999), and KY (2000). Her experience includes work for the WV Supreme Court of Appeals, the Franklin County Domestic Relations Court, and the law firm of Dungan & LeFevre in Troy, Ohio where she is still of counsel, and consults on family law issues.

Wendy has been married to Brad Goodenough for over 10 years. The couple resides in Proctorville, Ohio with their daughter Olivia and their son Nicholas.



Brad Goodenough
Brad is Necco's Chief Information Officer. Brad has over 10 years of experience in the technology field. He holds a BA in journalism from the Ohio State University (OSU). In addition, Brad holds an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. His experience includes working as a network specialist, network and communications product manager, and PC product manager where he was responsible for everything from inventory control, to contract negotiation, to supporting the development and growth of a network sales and distribution. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, Brad manages an array of Enterprise level communication and collaboration services and suites. These include Microsoft Exchange Server, Xerox DocuShare, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Office, and associated applications developed to suit organizational needs.

Brad has been employed with Necco since 1999, when he was hired to plan and develop the organization's Information Technology/Systems infrastructure and standards as well as manage and support those systems.

Brad is married to Wendy Necco Goodenough, and the couple resides in Proctorville, Ohio with their daughter, Olivia and their son Nicholas.



Stephen O. Mullins

Stephen O. Mullins is the Chief Financial Officer for Carvaka, Inc., and one of the founding members of the organization. He received a BA in Finance and Commercial Law from Marshall University in 1993. Stephen also holds an MBA International Finance from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management where he traveled throughout Europe, Asia, and Central and South America in pursuit of his education and interests.  Steve is a graduate of N.O.L.S. (National Outdoor Leadership School) as well. Since 1997, Steve has been co-owner, board member, and CFO of Carvaka, Inc. and its subsidiaries. In 2000, the U.S. Small Business Administration named Steve Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
